I'm a multimedia journalist with experience writing for both print and the web. A native of Colorado, I recently graduated from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism with an M.A. in journalism and politics.

My work has appeared in a wide range of publications, such as The Denver Post, Bloomberg, The Guardian, USA Today, The Boston Globe and Yahoo News.

My background is in statehouse reporting with an emphasis in health care policy. Aside from my skills as a political journalist, I have extensive training as a breaking news reporter. I've run around in hurricanes, chased wildfires and covered too many shootings. I also have a deeply ingrained love for investigative reporting, and I’ve worked as a freelance researcher for an investigative reporter at The New York Times for four years.
